Climbing Grades

The climbing grades are used to determine the difficulty in sport climbing, mountaineering and bouldering. Depending on region, climbing method or kind of rock, there are many different ways of grading the climbing routes. Remember that valuation of climbing routes are inherently subjective and based on the opinion of few climbers - often the authors of the first ascents.
