The premise is simple but slightly different from other tile matching games - you must clear screens of tiles as quickly as you can, removing 2 or more blocks of the same colour at once by hitting empty tiles that are in line with each of those blocks.What this means in practice is that you constantly need to think ahead in order to avoid leaving blocks of the same colour next to each other, as these become difficult to remove. If you do get stuck, however, there are several power ups available to you in the form of bombs. The simplest bomb will allow you to blow up a single stubborn block, but as you progress through the levels, more powerful bombs become available such as the colour bomb which will blow up all blocks of a chosen colour, or the awesome Nuke which will clear a whole block of tiles in one blast.The timer constantly ticks down and the aim is to keep clearing screen after screen to accrue points. If you get stuck you can progress to the next level but you will incur a time and point penalty for any remaining tiles - so it's best to try and totally clear a screen if possible. As the levels get higher, the amount of tiles per screen increases, and other tricky elements such as brick walls get thrown into the mix, so there's always something new to contend with.The game is fiendishly addictive and you will find it hard to resist one more game to try and better your high score!However, What really makes Pop It Pro! stand out from the crowd of other tile games on the market is inclusion of the Two player Battle mode*.
