《狂野西部》系列要复活了 传新作秘密开发中
近日，知名爆料人汤姆·亨德森透露，波兰游戏开发商Techland正在开发旗下著名西部射击系列《狂野西部》（Call of Juarez）的全新作品。
据称，这款尚未正式公布的新作已秘密开发多年，并采用虚幻引擎（Unreal Engine）打造，是系列首次放弃自家开发的Chrome Engine引擎。
这一消息正值Techland传出财务困境的敏感时期。根据近日公布的财报，Techland报告了创纪录的财务亏损，并已取消两个尚未公开的项目。其中一款是设定在奇幻世界的大型RPG，虽已开发多年，却因种种困难最终被迫中止；另一款项目则仍保持神秘，未有太多信息披露。
不过亨德森强调，《狂野西部》新作并不在被取消的项目之列。尽管公司关闭了部分项目，但目前尚未有员工裁员，Techland很可能将开发人员重新分配至包括《狂野西部》在内的其他项目上，这也意味着该系列或将“重返西部”。
《狂野西部》是 Techland 于2006年推出的第一人称西部射击游戏，以其独特的西部氛围与紧凑的剧情受到玩家喜爱，后续推出了数款续作，包括《狂野西部：生死同盟》和《狂野西部：枪手》等，皆有良好口碑。
目前Techland官方尚未对传闻做出回应，新作的正式命名与发售时间仍未确定。
